What Is The 50.5 School Project?
Simply put, the 50.5 Project is a project aimed at building two new secondary (high schools) in East Africa. The HOPE Project has teamed up with Village Schools International with the hopes of helping them reach their goal of building five schools this year. We believe that it's possible for The HOPE Project to raise the funds for two schools. David Scammell, one of the founders of The HOPE Project, is competing in his 5th IronMan this year. It is our hope that you will help sponsor him during his triathlon by giving a donation to this project. The race is June 21, but we need everyone's pledges by June 20th (the day before the race.)

How Does It Work?
Our goal is to get 50 donors to each raise $500; a donor can consist of an individual, family, group or corporation. If we are able to accomplish this, we'll be halfway to our goal. The next step is to get 5 donors to match the donations of the individual donors, meaning that they would each raise/donate $5000. By accomplishing both tasks, the total amount raised/given by the 55 donors will be enough to build 2 high schools in southern Tanzania this year.
